Georgia football defeated Kentucky 42-13 Saturday night in the last Sanford Stadium game for many players. The Bulldogs improved to 10-1 overall and 7-1 in the SEC.

Georgia football is back on the winning track. With great performances from several seniors, the Dawgs plowed through Kentucky 42-13 on senior night. Now Georgia has just one opponent before playing for the SEC Championship.

The Bulldogs blow out victory over the Wildcats reminded fans just how good they can be. It helped fans get over the loss to Auburn somewhat and showed that this team is very much focused on the goal of winning a National Championship. And here are the top performers from the win over Kentucky.

Javon Wims

Don’t you just hate the fact that this is Javon Wims’ last year as a Bulldog. The junior college transfer joined the team last season and showed signs of promise, but he has completely taken over in 2017 and has become Jake Fromm’s favorite target.

And why wouldn’t he be? He is 6’4 with long arms and he knows how to use that size. That was on full display against the Wildcats as he caught six passes for 83 yards with one touchdown. He now has 33 catches for 554 yards with five touchdowns.

Wims always seems to get open, even when he’s well covered. That’s because, as I said, he knows how to use his size. He can easily drag his feet in bounds to make catches on the sidelines and he’s able to leap in the air over defenders to bring in passes. He did all of that in his six catches from Saturday, and on one that maybe should have been ruled a catch.
