2019 class is staying tight and building down the line:

It was senior day this past weekend and it was the last home game of the season, It, therefore, shouldn’t be too surprising that Georgia had plenty of recruits in town. It also shouldn’t be too surprising that a lot of commits were in town that day as well.

But I have to admit that I remain really impressed by the 2019 class and the way that they continue to recruit together. Nolan Smith was back in town this week, coming up from IMG Academy in Florida which is not a short journey. Jadon Haselwood and Dominick Blaylock are the top 2 receivers in the country in 2019. Both were in town again and working hard on several recruits.

Rashad Chaney continues to be linked to South Carolina, but he also keeps coming to Athens and working on guys. He was seen chatting with Brenton Cox quite a bit alongside Haselwood. J.D. Bertrand is another 2019 prospect who seems to be at every Georgia home game.

The 2019 signing day is a long way away, but the way this class is being built is really exciting. They seem to be a really tight unit and they continue to work together and alongside the coaching staff to bring players in. That’s not something we were used to seeing under Mark Richt.

There is no doubt that UGA’s great 2017 season has helped in this regards. Recruits can now really see that Kirby Smart is not just selling them something. The guy has turned around this program in less than 2 years and something special is being built in Athens. It’s just great to see so many top players so excited to join the Bulldogs one day soon.
