The defensive line needs to clog lanes:

We’ll start where all defence does, up front with the big uglies. Georgia has one of the best defensive fronts in the game this year. When healthy, their unit has been able to stuff pretty much every other team’s running game.

Notre Dame ran all over every other opponent, but not Georgia. UGA held the Irish to just 55 yards all game. They held John Kelly of Tennessee to just 44 yards and prevented Georgia Tech’s much-vaunted triple option attack from hitting 200 yards all game. The Dawgs did the same against Mississippi State the week after they tore apart LSU.

In short, this UGA team has stopped the run against pretty much everyone apart from Auburn. That needs to start up front. UGA’s big men need to push Auburn’s offensive line much more than did 3 weeks ago. Trenton Thompson, Tyler Clark, Julian Rochester and Jonathan Ledbetter all have the ability to dominate offensive lines. They have done just that several times this year. Georgia needs them to bring that intensity again on Saturday.

This UGA front is talented. It has the ability to bully any offensive line. They had by far their worst game of the year when they played the Tigers earlier this season. If they can get back to their best, they can snuff out running plays before they open up.

Kerryon Johnson is a great running back, but even great backs can’t do much if their line is getting blown up. UGA needs its defensive line to win this battle. It’s won pretty much every other week, this needs to be their finest hour.
