The secondary is going to have to be more physical:

What makes Auburn so dangerous, is that they really are a well-balanced attack. While everyone talks about Kerryon Johnson, Jarrett Stidham has been lights out as their QB for the past 6 weeks. Stidham is completing over 68% of his passes and has thrown 16 TD’s compared to just 4 picks this season. He is playing efficient and effective football.

The secondary is probably the weakest area of this Georgia defence. That’s not to say its bad. It just doesn’t have the same level of depth and potential NFL talent that the other two units have. That means that if this unit is going to hold up against Auburn’s receivers, they are going to need to be nasty.

There are not many receivers out there who like getting hit at the point of attack. UGA’s defensive backs are going to have to be very physical in this game. They’re going to need to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage. Pushing them off their routes and messing with their heads are going to have to be staples of our defence in this game.

This could result in a few penalties. One thing Georgia will want to avoid this game is the indiscipline that they had 3 weeks ago. UGA cannot afford to give away cheap 1st downs but it might have to give away a few penalties in this area. They cannot allow these receivers to beat them down the field. If there is one area I’m prepared to accept penalties on in this game, it’s the secondary.
