Georgia Football: How UGA can overcome Auburn on Offence
When the Georgia Football team takes on Auburn this Saturday, they are going to have to do a few things differently to win the SEC Championship Game.
As the Georgia Football team preps for the big game this weekend, I’ve been taking a look at what they need to do to get a better result this week. Now we all remember the game 3 weeks ago and yes it got out of hand. But there are plenty of reasons why that won’t happen again this weekend.
To start with, UGA will be playing on a neutral field. That’s going to make a big difference for both teams. Auburn has been fantastic at home this year but has struggled on the road. While Atlanta will not be a true road game, it certainly won’t have a home feel for them. If anything, there will be more UGA fans there than Tigers.
Then you can add in the number of mistakes that the Dawgs made in week 10. There were fumbles on punt returns, missed open receivers and blown tackles. Throw in plenty of undisciplined penalties and you get a performance that was uncharacteristic of this team. Auburn will be unlikely to benefit from those same mistakes again this week.
So when looking at how UGA could play better this week, I broke the team into two. I started with an analysis of the defence which can be found here. Today, I’m going to be looking at the other side of the ball, the offence. It is there where UGA is really going to face it’s the biggest challenge.
