Georgia Football fans get ready for the big one!

Georgia Football fans have been waiting for this game for 3 weeks. It’s finally here, the SEC Championship Game against old rival Auburn.

It’s here Dawg fans. The SEC Championship Game is just hours away and the Georgia Football team has a chance to go down in history. Going into the season, fans certainly hoped that the Dawgs would be playing in this game today. Few thought that they would be going in with an 11-1 record and a chance for the College Football Playoff.

But here we are. This 2017 Bulldog team has been a pleasure to watch for the season. With the exception of the week 10 loss to Auburn, they have put together great performances every week. They go into this game as the underdog for the first time this year. They also go in with a 40-17 sized chip on their shoulder.

As fans, this is the kind of games we dream about. Folks in Athens have been kept away from this game for 5 years. There are going to be a lot of people travelling to Atlanta from Athens right now. And they are going to be nervous. We’ve all been burned a lot these past few years. Memories of the last time we were there in 2012 will be strong.

But this is a very different team with a totally different culture. They don’t feel like a ‘desperate’ team, they look like a confident one. There is no guarantee that the Dawgs will win today, but we know that these guys are going to play their best. If they win, Names like Lorenzo Carter, Nick Chubb and Roquan Smith will claim a part of UGA history.
