The offensive line played the game of their lives:

As good as the defense was, no unit in the field earned this victory more than the offensive line. On the first two drives of the game, Auburn beat up UGA’s line pretty badly and it looked like we might be in for a repeat of 3 weeks ago. But the way these players kept grinding and changed the script was absolutely incredible.

Let’s be clear, this is not a physically dominant group. Ben Cleveland and Andrew Thomas on the right side are both freshmen. They are the only two players on the line that have the size that Sam Pittman is looking for. Isaiah Wynn, Kendall Baker and Lamont Gaillard are undersized. That’s not their fault, they just aren’t that big.

It didn’t matter yesterday. They played like absolute lions and bullied a more talented and larger group of players. I saw Trent Smallwood post this video of Gaillard on the D’Andre Swift touchdown run, look at him annihilate a DT:

That’s just aggressive play and great technique. Damn it was great to watch these guys make the most of their talent this year. To see a unit that was so maligned last year play like this has been incredible. Hats off to every one of them, they earned this victory. This battle was won in the trenches.
