This is just the beginning:

As exciting as the line has been this year, I would be remiss if I didn’t say that this might actually be the worse line Dawg fans see for a few years. That’s because as much as the likes of Wynn and Baker have excelled, they lack the raw physical size that coach Sam Pittman wants from his linemen.

Pittman has been one of UGA’s most tireless recruiters since he arrived in Athens. We have seen Thomas, Cleveland, and another freshman Solomon Kindley get playing time this year. But there is a lot more talent that is waiting in the wings and it is pretty damn beefy.

Netori Johnson was one of the top guards in the nation in high school. He redshirted this year because Georgia had enough talent to hold him back. So did Isaiah Wilson, a massive 6-8 350lb behemoth who looks born to play right tackle. Pittman isn’t going to stop recruiting when it comes to top talent either.

They still have a legit shot at Thomas’s former teammate Jamaree Salyer who could be an instant star on any college line. Cade Mays and Trey Hill are two more 5-star talents that could end up in Athens

Kirby Smart wants to build a monster offensive line so that he can control both lines of scrimmage. This is how he wants to play football. Georgia is going to build its dynasty on the back of its trenches. This 2017 offensive line unit has been the foundation that Smart was looking for. Guys like Wynn and Baker have laid the blueprint for just how good this offensive line can be in the future.
