How other recruits reacted:

Unsurprisingly, Hill’s commitment generated a good deal of excitement from other players. The first of which came from his former and soon to be current QB, Jake Fromm:

Not to be left out, Justin Fields also sent over a message to Hill welcoming him into the fold.

That Fields tweet is particularly telling. There have been a lot of rumours over the past few weeks from rival fans that Fields has a wandering eye. With two new coaches at FSU and Florida, both fanbases are trying to drum up a belief that Fields is going to flip.

Fields is clearly continuing to work on bringing other guys to UGA and I would have thought a guy like Hill was on his ‘list’. In short Dawg fans, don’t listen to rival fans, Fields is working hard to keep building this 2018 UGA class. That isn’t something a guy who is about to flip does,

And I saved the best for last. Kearis Jackson has been close to Hill for years. He has been saying for a very long time that he thought the two would play together. Looks like he was right. After Hills decision, it’s worth remembering that he attended Jackson’s commitment party back in August. That might have been more of a tell than we realized at the time. Once again, props to ‘King Kearis’. The guy continues to be a Dawg on the recruiting trail!
