Who else could be looking elsewhere?

The early signing period is going to be very telling for Georgia fans. There is a chance that UGA signs as many as 20 players before Christmas. That will be almost all of the class and they will likely have only 4 spots left for February.

Expect almost all of UGA’s top guys to sign, but don’t worry if they don’t. Some of them might want to wait to confirm that their position coaches aren’t going anywhere after UGA’s playoff run. That’s totally fine.

What will be interesting to see, is which of Georgia’s lower rated players sign in December. The ones that do will be players that the coaches clearly like. Offensive Tackle Owen Condon is an example of this. He’s only a 3-star player and he tore his ACL this year. The guy is a clear redshirt, but he’s a huge man with lots of potential. Sam Pittman loves him and it looks like he will sign in December. If he does and guys like Rachard Wildgoose do not, that tells you how the coaches really feel about these players.

Wildgoose and Tramel Walthour could be the two players most likely to watch. Both are lower rated prospects and UGA are pushing for higher rated players at their position right now. To be clear, I don’t want these guys to leave the class. I just wouldn’t be shocked if they end up looking elsewhere for other potential opportunities.
