The regular season is over, Championship weekend has past and Georgia football are SEC Champions with a record of 12-1 overall.

Be honest Georgia fans, did y’all see this coming? Back in August, did any of us actually think Georgia would win 12 games before January, win a SEC Championship and claim a spot in the College Football Playoffs.

We all knew it was possible and could happen. But how many of us truly set expectations this high before the season? And here we are. Georgia football is heading to the Rose Bowl for a shot at playing for a National Championship. Our Bulldogs are the SEC Champions and 12-1. The best record for Georgia football after 13 games since 2002.

With just under four weeks until the New Year’s Day clash with Oklahoma in Pasadena, California, I think it’s time to hand out some awards. More specifically, superlatives for players and coaches on the Georgia football team.

These are the individuals who are a big reason as to why Georgia was so successful this season. They stood out, not just on the team, but in the SEC and nationally. These are the ones who made Georgia better by just enough to achieve the results Georgia had this year. We’re going to limit this to one superlative per player or coach.
