When the Georgia Football team takes on Oklahoma at the Rose Bowl, coaching will play a huge part in who wins and who loses.

The Rose Bowl is coming up in just over 2 weeks on New Year’s Day.  It features an absolutely star-studded marquee matchup. Oklahoma features the Heisman trophy winner,  quarterback Baker Mayfield. They will face the 12-1 SEC champion Georgia Bulldogs, a team that is absolutely loaded with stars themselves. Names like Chubb, Michel, Fromm, Carter and Bellamy are all known nationwide. One of the most talked about names this season, though, has been Junior linebacker and Butkus Award winner Roquan Smith.

This will be the first College football playoff game that features the Heisman Trophy winner playing for one team and the Butkus Award winner playing for the other. So we know that what we see on the field in the Rose Bowl will be entertaining. Oklahoma’s offense vs. the Dawgs defense is must see tv, and it has been and will be broken down 100 times over.

But what about the sideline war? The chess match? Which team has the coaching edge in this heavyweight fight? Let’s take a look at the main 2 coordinator positions and the head coaches and break down who has the best offensive coordinator,  defensive coordinator,  and head coach.
