The Georgia Football Fans guide to the Early Signing Period
Could be some late shockers before the weekend:
This is one of my favorite ‘Kirby faces’ of the season. That little ‘everything is going according to plan’ look. It’s something that I fully expect Smart to be wearing few times over the coming days. I think that there is a really good chance that Georgia takes a big step over the next 3 days in recruiting. I don’t expect it to fully end on Wednesday either.
Unlike the February signing day, players have 3 days to sign their paper work. It’s not surprising to see that most of UGA’s current commitments will sign on Wednesday. I would expect all of them who really have spots to secure those that day. Those prospects who have confirmed that they are deciding during this period are all signing tomorrow as well.
But I would expect one or two surprises on Thursday and Friday. There are a few names out there of players who might commit. Channing Tindall the LB from South Carolina is one. Look out for him to make a surprise decision. He was planning on waiting until Feb but I think he could change his mind.
There could be others as well. Rick Sandidge is another player to keep an eye out there for. He’s a big-time DT from the same state as Tindall. UGA is very much in the running for him and are battle SC for both of them.

No matter what, don’t think that things are going to end on Wednesday. Based on Kirby Smart’s record, espect a surprise. I don’t know who it will be, but I do fully expect Georgia to land someone that shocks people. That’s just the Kirby way.
