UGA commits stay true:

With Salyer signed, fans then had to go a few hours that were a bit different. This time, rather than signing new players, they were just hoping they held onto the ones they already had.

That started with James Cook, the running back from Florida. Cook choose not to follow his brother Davin to FSU and committed to UGA. He did, however, make an unexpected trip to Tallahassee this past weekend and a lot of recruiting experts were trying to suggest he would flip. Well, that never happened and Cook submitted his paperwork and signed with UGA.

Then there was the jewel of this class, QB Justin Fields. Lots of writers have been generating clicks over the last few weeks by claiming that Fields was going to a school in Florida. Some said it was FSU, others Florida. In the end, to the surprise of nobody at DotD, he stayed with the Dawgs.

Fields was one of the main recruiters for this class. He worked hard on a lot of the players who signed today. As well as being a tireless recruiter, Fields is going to be one heck of a college QB. If you thought the QB battle this year was good, get your popcorn out. If he enrolls early, the Spring game is going to be a must watch.

UGA also signed 10 other commitments include the nations top RB in Zamir White and the nations top OLB in Adam Anderson. UGA’s full class can be seen here on 247Sports. Georgia did lose on commitment when Elijah Moore flipped to Ole Miss early in the morning. That wasn’t a huge loss though and Moore has a better chance to play in Oxford than Athens.
