With signing day behind us and with UGA having 20 players in the books, it’s about time that we started to five into a bit more detail about the latest Georgia Football players. whereas before, these guys were recruits, who could still change their minds, now they have signed with Georgia and we can count on them coming to Athens.

We’re going to start with the top overall recruit in this class and the lynchpin that a lot of it was built around. Dual-threat QB Justin Fields is either the number 1 or 2 player in the entire country. He and Trevor Lawrence are the two best players and it’s not even close.

It really is a question of what type of QB you prefer if you ask me. Lawrence is the stereotypical pro-style QB. He’s big, has a great arm and looks like he’s almost ready to play in the NFL. Fields is different. He’s incredibly mobile and he made plenty of plays with his feet in high school. But he’s a much better passer than people realize and he actually beat out Lawrence at multiple events such as Nike’s The Opening.

So let’s take a look at Georgia’s big time QB recruit. We’ll start by going back and looking at how exactly he found he way to Athens.
