What can we expect in Athens?

Now that Fields has enrolled early, get ready for a quarterback battle! Jake Fromm’s fantastic freshman year and Jacob Eason’s decision to transfer mean that we know what it’s going to look like. Fromm is going to be the assumed starter going into camp, just like Eason was last year. Fields is going to be the young gun coming for his job. I am incredibly excited about this!

Fields has the longest odds, but I wouldn’t count him out. Even if he doesn’t win, the coaching staff will find a way to get him on the field in his Freshman season. Remember the ‘Wildawg’ package this year? Now imagine it with a guy like Fields… Yikes

One day, Justin Fields is going to win the starting quarterback job. I’m not going to predict when, but I’m just saying that it’s going to happen. Having him chasing down Jake Fromm is going to force Fromm to get even better than he was this season. It will also make Fields better as well and make him really maximize all of his natural talents.

Georgia is in better shape at the QB position right now than I have ever seen. Fromm is really good, but Fields could be transcendent and he’s going to have to beat out Fromm for the job. I really do believe that one of these guys is going to lead us to the promised land and a national championship. To be honest, both could. So get your popcorn ready Dawg fans and head down to Athens for G-day this year. It’s going to be AWESOME!!!
