How did he end up at UGA?

Anderson has an up and down recruitment. He was one of the first players to commit to Georgia in the 2018 class. He was the highest rated commit when 2017 started, but Anderson was a cause of the spring panic that occurred back in April.

On G-day this year, on April 22nd, Anderson committed to LSU alongside two of his Rome teammates. He had not even officially decommitted from UGA at the time. His decision came as a huge shock for Georgia fans and the panic started.

With his departure, Georgia had only 1 commitment, linebacker Donovan Georges who also left shortly afterward. Despite UGA’s strong 2018 class, a lot of fans were very worried about 2018. How things have changed since then.

Not long after his commitment, rumors started swirling that Anderson was looking elsewhere. LSU was too far away from his home and it quickly seemed like a rush decision forced by a desire to stay with his friends. He decommitted in June and UGA instantly became the favorite to land him again. Alabama was heavily involved as well and the decision came down to those two programs.

Anderson committed to UGA back in October. With the Dawgs doing well and Anderson’s affinity to the program, it’s a great match. Anderson should remind fans of several former UGA greats.
