What type of player is he?
Anderson could well be the best pure pass rusher at UGA if he was enrolled in school right now. He might be young, but he has very well developed pass rush moves. He’s a long and highly athletic player with incredible flexibility. Anderson also possesses rare explosiveness. These traits are one of the reasons he’s so hard to stop on the outside.
He often explodes off the line of scrimmage and his long arms and flexibility make it incredibly hard for tackles to keep their hands on him. He really does remind me a lot of Leonard Floyd. Anderson needs to put on 15-20lbs so that he can be more stout against the run. But the raw ability and size are absolutely there. He has all the traits needed to become a pass rushing superstar.
If he can add some size and become a good run stopper, he has a similar physical skill set to Lorenzo Carter. He could certainly drop back into coverage when needed because he’d likely more athletic than most tight ends. But his raw pass-rushing skills make him a more complete player than Carter. It might take him a bit of time, but Anderson has the chance to be an absolute stud.
