How did he end up at UGA?

Hill was considered to be a Georgia learn early on. Not only did he play in high school with Jake Fromm, but the two players have been close for a while. It, therefore, seemed like a likely result that he would end up in Athens.

But Hill didn’t commit immediately. He took his time and kept his cards close to his chest. Georgia was not the only school in this by any means. Several SEC teams were very interested in Hill which isn’t surprising when you consider his potential. The biggest challenger to Georgia when it came to Hill was one of their big-time rivals, Auburn.

Hill seemed to be very interested in both programs as the year went on. He took plenty of visits to both schools as the year went by and was in Auburn when the Tigers beat the Dawgs back in November. He talked glowingly of Auburn back then and a lot of people thought he would end up playing on the plains.

Eventually, Hill had to decide between the two programs. They were two very different sales pitches and opportunities. Auburn could offer him instant playing time and he would be one of the top recruits in their class. Georgia has Sam Pittman and the competition to make him as good as he can be. In the end, Hill choose to stay home and develop with the Dawgs.
