Georgia Football 2018 recruit: Nations No.2 OG Trey Hill
What type of player is he?
Like all of the linemen that UGA signed this year, Hill is a monster of a man in terms of size. Coming in at just under 6-4 and nearly 350lbs, he certainly has the size to be a terror in the middle of the line.
When you see Hill, what stands out is the way that he’s built. He carries a lot of his weight in his lower half, which gives him a great base to generate power from. As he continues to develop, that base should make him very difficult to move in pass protection. Better technique compared with his physical gifts really could make Hill a complete guard.
Like a lot of young linemen, Hill does need to work on his body when he arrives in Athens. That’s something that UGA’s S&C team are great at and Hill enrolling early should really benefit him in that regard.
On the field, Hill is another physical and pretty nasty lineman. Again, he’s no Cade Mays, but he’s not afraid to keep blocking a guy when he’s on the floor. He has that same mean mentality that we’re starting to see from UGA’s linemen and that is exciting. When a whole unit like this has that mindset, it really makes for a fun team to watch.
