Georgia Football takes on Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl in just two days. Fans are gearing up for the biggest game for UGA in quite some time.

2017 has been an absolutely awesome year, especially if you are a Georgia football fan. You got to see the sleeping giant that is the Georgia Bulldogs finally be awoken. Blowout wins over all of what I consider the big 4 rivals (Tennessee, Florida, Auburn, and Tech) were all just a joy to watch. The Auburn victory was made even sweeter due to the fact that they had ruined our perfect season 3 weeks before the SEC championship.

There’s really not too many complaints that even the pickiest of fans should have about this season.  Kirby Smart and this awesome group of young players have propelled this team from the perennial underachievers club to the winners club. In just 2 short years under the current staff, they sit where they should sit……in the playoffs and among college football’s elite.

It all leads up to Monday. The big game. The playoffs. The Granddaddy of them all. The Rose Bowl. For only the second time in school history, the Dawgs will play in what is the most famous college football stadium and most historic college football game in the world. This is it, Dawg fans. Unless you are old enough to have experienced the early 80s, you are like me and this is the biggest game you have ever watched Georgia play in.

The closest thing I remember personally about it as far as how I felt was the 2012 SEC championship game against Bama. While we ending up losing that one unfortunately, we knew what was at stake- a trip to the national championship game against Notre Dame. There were times after that defeat where the pessimist in me whispered, “That was it. That was as close as y’all will ever get”.
