Georgia Football: 5 Keys to Victory in the National Championship
Georgia Football will play for it’s first National Championship since 1980 on Monday. Here are some of the key factors that could decide the game that all UGA fans have been waiting for.
With all the happiness of the Rose Bowl now behind us, we Georgia Football fans need to move on. That’s because there is one more game to go. One final opportunity for the 2017 Bulldogs to make history.
After one of the most amazing games I have ever seen, I felt like I could write about the Rose Bowl for weeks. But if I did, we would likely all miss out on preparing for what will be another match for the ages. Georgia go to Atlanta on Monday with the chance to avenge several recent defeats to Nick Saban’s Alabama.
That 2012 game remains the single most painful moment of my UGA fandom. Knowing that we were just 4 yards away from a potential championship match. Even today, it still hurts just a little bit. But on Monday, Georgia will have a chance for revenge. And there is more too. UGA will also have a shot to show the entire college football world, that there is a new player in town. The SEC landscape doesn’t belong to Alabama alone anymore.
But for that to happen, they are going to have to play their best game yet this season. As good as Oklahoma and Auburn were, neither play at the same level as Bama when it comes to January. Nick Saban has a stranglehold on January in college football and it’s going to take a lot for Kirby Smart to shake him off. So let’s start our prep for Monday with a quick look at 5 key areas that could decide who wins the National Championship.
