Nick Chubb

Nick Chubb is one of the most reliable players in Georgia football history. That was no different Monday night. Chubb carried the ball just 14 times, but he gained 145 yards with two touchdowns.

His biggest score of the night was the 50 yarder early in the third quarter to cut Oklahoma’s lead in half. On that run, Chubb broke four tackles seven yards downfield, and then zoomed past the remaining defenders.

He later scored the game-tying touchdown out of the wild dawg formation from just two yards out. At first it appeared that Chubb didn’t have the space to score. But he found a gap and plowed his way into the end zone.

After a 4,000-plus yard career, It’s great to see Chubb ending his time as a Georgia Bulldog in the National Championship Game. But it was even better to see him dominate in the game that put the Dawgs in the finals.
