Georgia Football: Dawgs to cheer for this Wildcard Weekend
Before Georgia Football takes on Alabama on Monday, several former Dawgs will play in the NFL Wildcard weekend:
Well, it’s nearly here Dawg fans. Georgia Football takes on Alabama for the national championship on Monday and like you, I’m pretty excited. However, for those of us who can’t wait for until Monday for football, there will be plenty to watch this weekend.
The NFL’s wildcard weekend kicks off today and there will be several former Dawgs to watch for. So let’s take a quick look at who we should all be cheering for this weekend:
Justin Houston: OLB Kansas City Chiefs
Houston has been dealing with some injuries this season. That’s a sentence that I feel like I’ve said a few times before. The Chiefs, in general, have been devastated by the injury bug this season. After dominating New England in the season opener, they have seen lots of their top players miss time.
Now that they’re in the playoffs, however, they remain a pretty dangerous team. There is still talent on the roster including Houston. When he’s at his best, the guy is an absolute menace who can terrorize QB’s.
The Chiefs are at home to the Tennessee Titans this week and will need Houston to rush Marcus Mariotta. Mariotta has had a difficult season but when he’sat his best, he can win a game. If Houston can play at his best, he can make a big difference to his team this week. The Chiefs could be a sneaky good team later in the playoffs is Houston stays healthy.
Game: Tennessee Titans at Kansas City Chiefs SAT 4.35 pm EST
