Dawg fans lashing out

It was a painful loss for Dawg fans and a lot of them were angry. That’s pretty much become a stereotype for all sports fans these days. When any team loses, there is always going to be a part of that fan-base that wants to lash out.

As per usual, angry UGA fans found lots of fingers to point. The Refs took some of the brunt but a lot more was directed internally. I saw more people demanding that Jim Chaney be fired today than I thought was possible.

I get that people are angry, but demanding that somebody gets fired for just being above average at his job is crazy. Chaney has clearly improved this year as a play-caller and UGA’s offense has looked much better. Did he make mistakes in the game, sure? Do I agree with all his calls, of course not.

But the guy had a good season and he’s helped make us better. Should Clemson fire their OC because his team only put up 6 points against this same Bama defense? If every coach who made mistakes in a game got fired, even Saban wouldn’t be coaching. He’s been playing the wrong QB for 4 freaking months apparently!!!

Nobody is perfect guys, so cut this team and their coaches a break. They gave you a lot more good memories this season than they did bad and they deserve some thanks for that.
