Rival fans need to chill out.

Speaking of fans, let’s get onto other ones, shall we. I understand Dawg fans being angry, I disagree with those screaming for peoples jobs, but I understand the hurt.

I can understand Bama fans talking trash too. Yes, I think it’s classless and unnecessary, but hey, you won and feel great, that’s fine, I get it. But other fans, whose teams had losing records taking some form of weird glory in the fact that UGA lost, that is nuts.

If I had a dollar for every Gator and Vols fan that took to social media to abuse UGA because their team is only the second best in the country, I would literally never need to work again. And I’m sorry, but that’s just sad.

Yes, we lost. In overtime. To ‘The Death Star’. Pardon my french, but **** happens. Losing one game doesn’t mean this team is worthless. It doesn’t belittle these players and how much they mean to our school. Those kids gave their everything and they came damn close to winning the whole thing. Mocking them is just pathetic.

Seeing so many people take pleasure in other’s sadness just always bums me out. After such an amazing game, which delivered so much excitement, it’s just always so disappointing to see such pettiness out there.
