What type of player is he?

If you like offensive line play, you’re going to like Ericson. While he isn’t quite the physical prospect that Jamaree Salyer and Trey Hill are, he’s pretty close. He also happens to have that nasty, physical mentality that most of these OL signees have.

One of the things that makes him such an exciting prospect for this Georgia team is his versatility. Ericson has played pretty much every position on the line for his team over the past few years. From left tackle on the outside all the way to center, he’s played them all and played them well.

He played most of his senior year as a center however and that could well be where he plays at the next level. Most recruiting services reclassified him from a guard to a center this year because of his play there. But there is no guarantee that that is where he’ll end up.

Watching his highlights, you see a player who is punishing in the run game and just loves to finish blocks. He has some work to do in pass protection but he’s going to be a mauler whenever he see’s the field. When you think about him playing alongside the likes of Ben Cleveland and Salyer, he just looks nasty. Yeah, opposing defenses are going to hate playing UGA in a few years.
