What type of player is he?

Wyatt is kind of a physical freak, to be honest. He weighs somewhere around 300lbs and he profiles as an interior defensive lineman. But he’s not just a big guy, Wyatt was one of the fastest players on his high school team.

In fact, Wyatt played running back in some sets. He was timed running a 40-yard dash at 4.6 seconds apparently. There is no way a man that big should be able to run that fast… They played him at defensive end at high school but UGA will use him on the inside in a similar tole to Tyler Clark.

In his season this year at Hutchinson, Wyatt made a big impact. He made 30 tackles in 11 games and had 3 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss on the season. He also broke up one pass and in true UGA lineman fashion, blocked a kick.

Kirby Smart said when he arrived that Wyatt is much better for going to community college. It helped him grow up and he’s not the kid he was back in August when he missed out on coming to Athens. Instead, he’s a guy who knows what he wants and how to get it.

Wyatt is in many ways a feel-good story for Georgia fans. A kid who didn’t have the grades, but who worked hard to get them. The coaching staff stood by him during that difficult time and that says a lot about them as well. But he’s more than just a story, in fact, he could end up being quite special in Athens.
