1. Channing Tindall

I know it seems a little crazy to put Tindall this high considering he’s still in high school right now. While the others battle it out over spring training, Tindall will still be working out in high school and waiting before he comes into Athens. But the fact is, watching the guy on tape, there is something really special about him.

Tindall didn’t play against the best opposition. He’s from South Carolina and so the quality of high school football isn’t the same as it is here in Georgia. But the guy just leaps off the page whenever you watch him. He always looks like the best player on the field and it’s not even close.

Tindall played well at the Army All-American game. He didn’t dominate, but he certainly looked very good. He is the only player on this list that seems to have it all. He’s got the physical boxes checked as well as the natural linebacker instincts that mean so much at this position. The guy is also a vicious hitter, I mean when he lines someone up, goodnight!

I’m not saying the guy is going to just come in and start. To be honest, I think he is probably going to play in a reserve role this year. But as the season goes on and he gets more and more acclimatized to the position, I just think he’s going to find a way onto the field.

We won’t get to see him this spring, so fans are going to have to wait a while. But when we do, this is someone who could one-day genuinely fill the void that we’re going to feel without #3 on the field next season. Nobody is going to be ‘the next Roquan’, he will always hold a special place in Georgia fan hearts. But this guy could be pretty damn special himself.
