Who else has left?

Kevin Sherrer:

Sherrer was the last holdover from the Mark Richt era. He was close to then-defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt who helped bring him to Athens to coach outside linebackers. Sherrer did a really solid job and was seen by many as the defensive coordinator in waiting when Mel Tucker eventually ends up as a head man. But with Tucker staying this season, Sherrer re-joined Pruitt to head up the defense for the rival Tennessee Volunteers.

Scott Fountain:

Fountain was a bit of a Kirby Smart masterstroke hire. He was Special Teams coordinator and tight end coach at Auburn just like Beamer was at UGA. When he was let go by Auburn, Kirby swooped in and added him as an analyst. Fountain really helped Beamer this season and it was no surprise to see him get hired again as an on-field coach. He was hired to be Special Teams Coordinator by the new Mississippi State head coach Joe Moorehead.

Jay Valai:

Valai is a young and hungry coach who we should end up hearing more about in the future. He was a quality control coach who made a big impact for Georgia in recruiting this winter. Valai stepped in for Kevin Sherrer while UGA was preparing for their postseason games. He took a similar position with the Kansas City Chiefs in the NFL. There the former defensive back will have the opportunity to learn under legendary Hall of Famer Emmitt Thomas.

Aaron Feld:

Feld was Scott Sinclair’s top lieutenant on the strength and conditioning team. He also has the best mustache in college football. Feld was hired to take the top job at Oregon. He’s a loss for the school, especially from a facial hair perspective, but its great to see the guy get his own program to run in 2018.
