2017 was one of the best years in recent memory for Georgia Football fans. With the pain of the last loss behind us, here are my awards for a great season.

Well, Dawgs fans, it’s was one hell of a season. While the Georgia Football team moves on, I wanted to quickly look back at 2017. Yes, it might be a few weeks too late, but there was so much else to write about. Now that we’re in a bit of a lull waiting for national signing day, I thought it was time to go back and hand out some awards.

This was a pretty difficult exercise, to be honest. To start with, what awards did I actually want to give out? That took a while and after a lot of thought, I decided to rule out the initial Freshman of the year one. That was mainly because our defense which was clearly a great unit barely played any freshmen and I didn’t want to give an award to someone who barely played and ignore others.

I will also state that I have done my best to make sure that nobody gets more than 1 award. Let’s be honest, we could probably give Roquan Smith pretty much every defensive trophy out there. But there are other players on that unit that did an awful lot for our team and deserve some praise.

Anyway, let’s get this started. We’ll begin with the offense and a man who has been making a few waves at the Senior Bowl.
