Tyson Campbell

Ok, so lets get onto a name that should excite people. I’ve started with the ‘boring’ players that I think are dead certs. Now it’s time to move onto the guy everyone wants. Tyson Campbell is probably one of the top 2 or 3 players that hasn’t committed to a school yet. If UGA were to win this battle, they would have signed 8 5-star players in one year, which would be a record.

In all honestly, outside of Walthour and Davis, I do think Campbell is the most likely player to come to UGA. That might sound crazy, but to me, it makes a lot of sense. Georgia’s biggest competition with him is Alabama and Miami. I don’t think he goes to Bama because they have other guys that they end up taking. Count me in as one of those guys who doesn’t think he stays home either.

I think that Mel Tucker and Kirby Smart have done an amazing job recruiting Campbell. He’s been a clear priority for them for some time and both have a great reputation for developing defensive backs. Campbell could be the most talented player either have coached in the position group. He has everything you want from a cornerback in terms of tools.

Call me an optimist, but I think UGA gets Campbell. What I’ve read about him suggests that Georgia should be a really good fit for him. He’s exactly the kind of player Kirby really wants to finish off this class. I expect him to get what he wants.
