Georgia Football lands Nations Number 1 recruiting class

Remember when Kirby Smart said Georgia Football had arrived? Yeah he wasn’t joking and his close to the 2018 recruiting cycle confirmed that.

It’s raining recruits!! If December 20th wasn’t enough for you Dawg fans, then today probably was. The Georgia Football team once again cleaned up on the recruiting trail. Kirby Smart and his coaching team are doing things we’ve never seen in Athens. They’re bringing in high end players by the absolute bucket-load and have secured their first ever number 1 ranking for a recruiting class.

Say what you want about Urban Meyer and Nick Saban, Smart just beat them both. As good as UGA was at recruiting before Smart arrived, there is no doubt that he has turbo charged the whole thing. Georgia has gone from a perennial top 6ish team, to one that looks like it will always challenge for top spot. when you consider the amount of talent in the peach state right now, that’s a dangerous combination.

It’s the reason why so many fans are excited about Georgia’s future right now. The Dawgs didn’t rest on their laurels after an incredible December 20th. Instead, they went out and closed stronger than anyone really expected. They also secured a 2019 commit on the same day as well and that was just a start.
