The Georgia Football team has a lot to celebrate at the moment. Not only did they enjoy one of their most successful seasons in a long time. But they also just secured the number one overall recruiting class according to all of the services.

Having signed 20 players back in December, the Dawgs received an extra 6 on National Signing Day. Having done a profile of everyone who signed early, it’s time to look at the new kids.

Quay Walker was the most surprising commitment of the bunch for me. Of all of the players who signed on Wednesday, he was the one I was least expecting. His journey to UGA was pretty confusing and at some points contentious.

But by the time he gets between the hedges, fans are unlikely to care. When it comes to talent, few in this class possess as much as Walker. He’s a player who could end up playing in different spots in the linebacking corp depending on the unit on the field. That versatility makes him really valuable to this class.

So let’s take a look at how exactly Walker ended up in Athens and what kind of player we can expect playing between the hedges.
