How did he end up at UGA?

Reese was a player that UGA targeted for some time. Back in the 2017 class, they were working on him alongside his good friend and fellow Lee County Trojan Aubrey Solomon. When Solomon decided last signing day to go to Michigan, it seemed like this would be a battle Georgia was going to lose.

Reese committed to the Wolverines not long after that. It seemed very certain that he was going to end up joining his friend, but things really started to change after early signing day. With so many top players in the bank, the staff started to really work on Reese.

Truth be told, they probably always were behind the scenes. We never really got to see it because Reese himself is very quiet on social media. That’s pretty rare for a player of his profile and it meant few really knew what was going on with his recruitment. Reese almost never posted anything about the process or which coaches were talking to him.

Late in the process, however, it was clear that UGA was making a big push. While playing with his friend in Ann Arbor remained interesting, Athens became more of a draw. Reese knows quite a few of the other recruits and it seems like he wanted to be a part of this class. Smart and Mel Tucker both think that he brings something they don’t have elsewhere. Reese flipped his commitment on signing day and became a Bulldog.
