What type of player is he?

You can already see the similarities between Bush and Wims. When you watch his highlights, a few things really stand out. One, the guy has all of the physical tools you look for when it comes to an outside receiver. He’s big, strong and fast. Two, much like Wims, Bush is one of those guys who can just go up and get the ball.

He’s a natural jumper and he really does have ‘long speed’. Like a lot of guys his size, Bush isn’t that quick over short distances. However, once he gets going, he’s very difficult to catch. He has long strides and 6ft tall cornerbacks really struggle to run him down once he’s going. As for the jump ball, much like Wims, it’s just not fair asking a corner to try and stop someone this big from catching that play.

One of the secrets to Jake Fromm’s success this season was the trust he had in Wims. More often than not, if he was in trouble or he needed a 1st down, Fromm threw it up to Wims. He did this because he had faith that Wims would go grab that ball and come down with it. Bush has very similar traits when you watch him on film. That’s something that is sure to make both Fromm and Justin Fields very happy.
