Georgia Football had a fantastic group of seniors who led their team in 2017. With those players now gone, UGA will need others to step up this spring and become leaders.

What a group of leaders the 2017 Georgia Football team had. Guys like Sony Michel and Nick Chubb will go down in history as true UGA greats. Lorenzo Carter and Davin Bellamy worked so hard to make sure that their final season at Georgia met their expectations. Roquan Smith was in a league of his own.

Unfortunately for Dawg fans, all of those players and many more have now departed. That means that UGA is going to need new players to step up and lead from the front. It’s one thing to find guys who are going to step in and take jobs, it’s another thing to find leaders.

Next seasons team will arguably be more talented than this past one. However, it’s going to take leadership from some players to ensure that same culture exists in 2018 just like it did last year. While they lost Roquan Smith, there are still plenty of other experienced players who I think are going to step up and be leaders for this team next season.

With the team now back doing weight training, this is when we will likely start to see some of these guys step up. Here are the 5 players I think are most likely to fill those roles going into spring camp.
