Georgia Football is up and running with the 2019 class. In town this weekend are two LB’s that Kirby Smart would love to see play together.

This recruiting thing certainly picked up quickly didn’t it? It’s been less than two weeks since signing day and Georgia seem to already pushing hard to get the next class in the books. It looks like this weekend, they have two of their biggest priorities in town together. That’s certainly exciting for Georgia Football fans

Owen Pappoe has been on the recruiting radars since before he arrived in high school. I think I read somewhere that he was actually offered by Mark Richt when he was in like 8th grade or something. The guy is a physical freak. From an athletic standpoint, Pappoe has all the tools to step in and be a Roquan Smith type player. That’s the role that Kirby Smart is trying to sell him on and after Smith’s success, Pappoe seems to be listening.

He’s joined in Athens this weekend by Trezmen Marshall. He’ll likely also be an inside linebacker, but he’s a different type of player to Pappoe. While, he’s not the same athletic freak, Marshall is already considerably larger and an explosive hitter. He is also a running QB for his high school team so the guy has some moves. Marshall looks like a natural fit to play next to Pappoe if they both ended up in Athens. He could take the position Natrez Patrick fills to the next level.

It’s on thing to have two elite talents in Athens at the same time. But I love that these are guys who will play next to each other should the become Dawgs. Bravo Kirby, Bravo. Now let’s get that next commitment in the books shall we! I think I’m already feeling withdrawal after signing day…
