Georgia Football is back at Spring Camp. That means that there are plenty of players to keep an eye on who could have big roles in this 2018 team.

It’s about that time of year guys. Georgia Football is back in the building and they’re officially working out again. While it’s not real football, it’s a sign that we’re getting closer and closer to the spring game this April.

Previous I looked at the defensive line and the linebackers. The group I’m looking at today is one that is absolutely stacked with young talent and needs to replace 2 starters. The secondary was in many ways the weakness in UGA’s defense last year.

Players like Aaron Davis, Malkom Parrish, and Dominick Sanders all had a lot of experience. However, none of them had the raw talent that we’re going to see from the young kids this season. Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker have recruited some really exciting prospects over the past few season. 2018 will be the time where we might see some of them break through.

JR Reed and Deandre Baker both come back next season. That’s one very good cornerback and a solid strong safety pencilled in. Tyrique McGhee should also be the favourite to hold onto one of the cornerback spots. He will likely play out of the slot because that is where he’s played best in his 2 years in Athens.

But that Star position will be up for grabs. In fact, three out of the 5 DB spots that UGA have should be up for grabs this spring. So let’s take a look at who could position themselves well for those jobs during spring camp.
