Georgia Football: First UGA players weigh in at NFL Combine
Georgia Football saw its first players weigh in at the NFL Combine today and unsurprisingly, Nick Chubb and Sony Michel looked impressive.
Not that it will surprise any Georgia Football fans, but Nick Chubb and Sony Michel look like beasts. With the NFL Combine kicking off, today was the day where running backs and offensive linemen got all their measurements in.
Nick Chubb has actually packed on two extra pounds of muscle since he left UGA and weighed in at 22lbs. That is a man that I absolutely would not want to have to tackle. Sony Michel actually weighed in a little lighter than some were expecting at 214lbs. He’s apparently been slimming down a little bit to improve his quickness.
The thing that was most interesting, is that other than weight, these two guys measured almost exactly the same in all of the measurements. While we will likely see them do very differently in the actual drills that happen later this week, I thought that was pretty cool. It’s really hard to think about one without the other even at the Combine.
Isaiah Wynn was also available to do his measurables. He came in a bit heavier than I was expecting at 313lbs. He’s also been confirmed at standing just under 6ft 3 and with 33 inch arms. Those measurements are why he’s likely to shift to guard in the NFL.

Wynn had surgery after the Senior Bowl to repair a torn labrum so is not participating in any of the drills this week. Just to be clear, Wynn showed up at the Senior Bowl with the injury and still stonewalled guys. He did that for the entire of the practice sessions before sitting out the game. I mean I know you expect offensive linemen to be tough but good lord. That is ridiculous.
