Georgia Football is back at Spring Camp. That means that there are plenty of players to keep an eye on who could have big roles in this 2018 team.

It’s about that time of year guys. Georgia Football is back in the building and they’re officially working out again. While it’s not real football, it’s a sign that we’re getting closer and closer to the spring game this April.

We started out looking at the offensive line last week when we checked out the tackles. Today we’re going inside and looking at the offensive guards that fans should be keeping an eye out for. UGA returns all three starters from the interior this season. Kendall Baker, Lamont Gaillard and Ben Cleveland will all go into the spring with jobs in their possession.

However, there are a few new guys to keep your eye on this spring. While I feel pretty comfortable that both Gaillard and Cleveland will hold their spot, Baker does look vulnerable. While I’m not trying to rip on the guy, he was the weak link on the line last season. That was particularly the case in the championship game where he was exposed several times. Now he wasn’t the only one by any means, but there is no doubt that Georgia needs to get better at his spot.

Jamaree Salyer is going to be arriving this summer. He’s the highest ranked guard in a very long time and just like his former Pace academy teammate Andrew Thomas, he is going to push to start on day 1. That’s why a couple of these players need to take their chance this spring to win the job before he arrives.
