Lorenzo Carter melts the internet:

No former Dawg lit up Indy quite like Lorenzo Carter. Those of us who watched Carter play the last year know just how physically gifted he is as a player. As I’ve written before, this is a guy who is just as capable of covering a slot receiver as he is of sacking the QB. He’s just a rare and explosive athlete.

Carter weighed in at 250lbs and stands at 6ft6 tall. When it was time for him to do his forty yard dash, that was when he really showed out:

What was that Lorenzo? Oh, you know, just a 4.46 forty. That’s faster than Nick Chubb and Sony Michel. Just an outside linebacker running faster than two of the greatest running backs in UGA history. No biggie…

All joking aside, Carter showed that he should be a consideration for the first round. During the season, he proved that he was a complete player who could do pretty much anything a team wanted. Now, he’s reminded everyone that he’s also a physical freak. Add that to his exceptional character and the ability to be a leader and coaches will be chomping at the bit to get this guy on to their team.

They should be at least. Carter is one of those guys who I really think could end up being better in the NFL than he was in college. That’s not because UGA didn’t use him in the right way. It’s more that the pro game should suit him better because QB’s actually make 5 and 7 step drops and give him time to rush the passer. Right now, I really do think that Georgia could have 3 first round draft picks. What a result that would be for UGA after last years draft down year.
