Georgia Recruiting is coming after Owen Pappoe pretty hard right now. He’s one of Kirby Smart’s top targets and he’s making a decision soon.

Owen Pappoe is one of the most exciting players in the country in the 2019 class. He’s been a huge focus for Georgia Recruiting for quite a while and they seem to be making an impact. Kirby Smart has made his a priority target for a while. The 2017 season seems to really have had an impact on Pappoe.

Pappoe recently announced a decision date for his recruitment. He’ll be making his commitment on May 5th and Georgia is trending as the favorite for him. UGA commit Nolan Smith continues to work hard to try and bring Pappoe to Athens with him. The thought of those two lining up together in the linebacking corp is pretty damn terrifying.

Pappoe doesn’t seem to be taking spring break very easy. He’s been working out with former Bulldog Marcus Howard and getting better. Howard had a great career between the hedges and while he never made it in the NFL, he’s been an impact player in the CFL since 2011.

Look I’m not saying that Pappoe working out with Howard means that he’s going to come to Athens. But it’s good to see the Bulldogs network helping this kid out and get better. Howard didn’t have the crazy raw talent that Pappoe has. That said, he’s been a professional football player for nearly a decade. He’s exactly the kind of guy young guys should learn from.

I hate comparing anyone to Roquan Smith. But Pappoe has the rare athletic ability to be that guy at the next level. Let’s just hope he ends up doing that in Athens.
