Georgia Football is going to be recruiting the best players in the country for the 2019 class. Jalen Perry is an understated name in this class, but he’s already one of the best cornerbacks in the country.

Continuing on from the series I’m writing about 2019 prospects, I didn’t want to ignore some of the kids that are already committed to Georgia Football in that cycle. Now we know that not all commitments stick in this day and age. It’s important that fans don’t start taking these guys for granted or consider them Dawgs no matter what. But I think there is a really good chance that most if not all of the current commits do end up in Athens.

Jalen Perry is currently the 4th highest commitment on the board for UGA. The cornerback out of Dacula Georgia is one of the highest rated players at his position in the country. This is a position group that I don’t see Georgia taking huge numbers off this year. In 2017 they signed 7 DB’s and this past one, they signed 5.

Perry will likely be one of 3 or 4 that are signed in the 2019 class. In my mind, Perry is quite an underrated player because he’s not getting the hype a lot of other prospects are. He’s taller than 6ft and he’s athletic and tall enough to take on big receivers on the outside. Perry brings a lot to the table and he fits the blueprint of what Kirby Smart and Mel Tucker want.

The fact that right now, UGA’s class is very top heavy means that people sleep on Perry. But the guy is going to be a stud in his own right when he gets to Athens. Anyway, enough of that, let’s get to the fun bit shall we an actually watch this guy play!
