Georgia Football: Biggest Stories from Spring so far
The 2018 class is already making an impact:
I’ve mentioned a few names already, but there is no doubt that this 2018 recruiting class is making it’s presence felt already in Athens. Justin Fields looks like the prospect everyone has been talking about for a long time. Whether he can overcome Fromm or not, the guy has an incredibly bright future at UGA.
But he’s not the only one who is raising eyebrows. Zamir White is recovering from a knee injury so cannot fully take part in training, but he’s out there, every single day. Right now it looks like he could be back to full speed by the time the season comes around and that is frightening for opposing teams.
Kearis Jackson is also making a name for himself as a receiver. He brings a size and strength to the slot that UGA haven’t had before and Kirby Smart seems to like it. Expect him to impress on G-day. The same goes for Brenton Cox who is really showing out and Cade Mays is seriously pushing for time on the offensive line right now which is crazy considering the talent there. All of these guys will push for time in 2018 and could be full starters in the following years.
And then there are all the players that aren’t even here yet. Tyson Campbell a 5-star cornerback with incredible speed and Adam Anderson, a freak athlete who could be an elite pass rusher. The list goes on and on and on. Luke Ford, James Cook, Channing Tindall, Quay Walker, the quality of players that this class is bringing to Athens is just unparalleled.
