Other non-rivals

Miami Hurricanes – 12 Games

Many fans wish Georgia would play Miami, but who knows what it’ll take to set up a meeting. The two haven’t played since Miami ruined Georgia’s National Championship hopes in 1966. The Bulldogs may lead the series 7-4-1, but that 1966 loss has to sting.  The Bulldogs and Hurricanes actually met with some frequency between 1937 and 1966, but that’s it.

Florida State Seminoles – 11 Games

Georgia and Florida State actually had a bit of a rivalry brewing in the 1950’s and 60’s. They played each other nine times from 1954-to-1965. The Bulldogs won the first five games, mostly by comfortable margins. But the Seminoles got the better of Georgia in those last four.

The two ended their series in 1965 and have only met in bowl games since. They fought to a tie in the 1984 Citrus Bowl, and the Bulldogs defeated Florida State in the 20036 Sugar Bowl. The Bulldogs lead the series 6-4-1.
