Mecole Hardman WR

I’ve said it a few times and I’ll say it again. I think Mecole is going to be an absolute beast in 2018. In his first year as a wide receiver, he got better and better as each game went on. By the time the championship game came around, he was looking even more dangerous that Terry Godwin out there. It’s frightening for other teams what this guy could be one day.

I expect to see that growth continue this G-day. Look for him to run some specific sets that take advantage of his speed. Jake Fromm also tuned to him a few times as the season went on check downs. That’s a great option because he’s so athletic that he always has a chance for the big play. No matter what, I always love seeing this guy get the ball in his hands. So let’s see that happen again on Saturday.

Kearis Jackson WR

Jackson might be a bit further away than some other receivers, but I wouldn’t be shocked if he made an impact on Saturday. At 6ft tall, he’s bigger than the average slot receiver and he’s also a lot more powerful. As the state shot-put champion in high school, the guy has plenty of raw power. That’s something that slot cornerbacks are just not used to seeing. It will be interesting to see if he ends up in the slot and blocking on run downs as well.

But Jackson has more than just strength. He’s explosive as well and in the future, you can see how he’s going to be a nightmare for cornerbacks. I kind of want to see him go up against some of our young CB’s in Sanford and see who wins. He’s certainly got the potential to make some guys looks silly.
