Filling up a Stadium:

After eating some good ‘Que and hanging out with some great Dawg folks at the tailgate, we made our way to the stadium to get our gate passes, which was a first for G Day. I’ve seen a few people online complaining about this when it was announced.  Some even said they weren’t coming due to it. That was an overreaction. The gate pass thing was very simple. It wasn’t a big deal at all. You simply walked up to the gate and they handed you however many tickets you needed and it had a section printed for you to sit in. It worked seamlessly for us.

After picking up our passes, we made our way to Gate 7 of Sanford Stadium. They were having a food drive there and my kids and I took a few canned goods. We got to see and speak to one of the all-time greatest quarterbacks in UGA history, David Greene. David is a super nice guy and looked like he could still suit up and run out with the Dawgs this season.

We took our seats over an hour before kickoff and watched as the stadium steadily filled to the point of capacity. I’ve already seen where Nebraska had the top attendance in the country for spring games and we were 2nd. Well, don’t pat yourselves on the back too much, Husker fans. The only reason UGA wasn’t number one is that an entire section, the bleachers closest to the bridge, was shut down due to construction. I am so proud of our fan base. We are making this a yearly thing now, and recruits notice stuff like this.
