Something special about Sanford:

The atmosphere in the stadium reminded me more of a regular game than a scrimmage. Everyone was so happy and excited. It was just a fun day. The video packages on the new scoreboard, which was an amazing thing itself, were really awesome. They put together a really great game by game recap of the epic 2017 season. Roars came from the red and black crowd as it showed the dominating wins over Tennessee, Florida, and Tech.

Big plays from nailbiters like the Notre Dame game and the Rose Bowl brought huge reactions as well.  The SEC championship victory in the Mercedes Benz Stadium over Auburn was met with thunderous cheers from the crowd. The one play that was cheered the loudest, of course, was the epic game-winning touchdown run by Sony Michel against Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl.

Speaking of Sony Michel, we had the pleasure to see him and Nick Chubb carry the Rose Bowl trophy on to the field and lead the crowd in the “GEORGIA!” “BULLDOGS!” cheer and then the calling of the Dawgs. They were wearing each other’s jerseys and received a much-deserved standing ovation by the thousands in attendance.

The defense was the main star of the game itself. Team Black’s QB, Justin Fields threw for 1 impressive back corner end zone TD and Fromm had a couple of picks and a late game bomb TD pass to Riley Ridley near the end of the game.

I’ll have something else up in the next few days on the game itself, but it was all an amazing experience. My hat is off to Kirby and the athletic department for making this event live up to its potential.
