Georgia Football had its second player drafted in the first round when Isaiah Wynn was drafted by the New England Patriots.
The Georgia Football team has its second first-round draft pick in the 2018 draft. Isaiah Wynn was selected as the 23rd overall pick by the New England Patriots. He will join fellow Georgia Bulldog David Andrews on the Pats offensive line.
Wynn was announced by Roger Goodell as a tackle which was interesting. Most scouts graded him as a guard due to his lack of height, but it’s possible that the Pats see him on the outside. New England lost their left tackle Nate Soldier to free agency. It’s possible that the Pats are hoping that Wynn will be able to play the same position he did at Georgia.
We probably shouldn’t count out Wynn. At the beginning of last season, I was sure Wynn would lose his spot at left tackle in Athens. I always liked him at guard and thought that he would make that transition during the year.
Well, I was wrong. Wynn was named an All-SEC selection and just got drafted by Bill Belichick. I might hate the guy, but Belichick has forgotten more about football than I will ever know. I’d say there is a pretty good chance he knows what he’s doing with Wynn.

All of this makes the Patriots a sneakily UGA heavy team. Wynn and Andrews are joined by Malcolm Mitchell, another DGD who we all love. I swear to god, if Belichick takes Lorenzo Carter at some point, Dawg fans are going to be really torn. This is the team that ended our states championship drought just 2 years ago…
